I’m mom with a 1 year old living in Prince George, BC and I travel to Vancouver, BC often.
When I’m not out at the playground and tending to nap time, I’m developing a web app in Python with the Django framework. I’m currently working on ListSyncer.
ListSyncer is a marketing tool that derived from a technology gap I noticed while running my fitness centre, Sunberry Fitness. We were trying to carry out targeted email marketing based on customer behaviours such as the fitness instructors and classes they. This meant sending out emails when their favourite instructor is subbing that week, when a new class they might be interested in comes out and more. This was highly effective, it turned subbing (usually mark by weak attendance) into some of the most highly attended classes. The only downside was that our membership management software did not talk to our marketing software in a way that supported this type of marketing, so it became a labour intensive process where we had to download and upload a bunch of Excel files.
ListSyncer automates that, it allows users to create lists based on customer behaviours and syncs it to the marketing or sales software periodically saving a ton of time! Best of all, this allows fitness centres to carry out targeted marketing that was only available to big retailers!
I’m learning computer science and programming:
- Finished CPSC 101 and CPSC 200 (Algorithm Analysis and Development) at UNBC in 2019
- Developed a dice probability calculator for Warhammer Underworlds in 2020. View Calculator.
- Currently enrolled in a Python application development coaching program with PyBites to develop the MVP of ListSyncer
- I’m thinking this would be a tool that will help small and medium size businesses with behaviour based marketing
- Finished CPSC 101 and CPSC 200 (Algorithm Analysis and Development) at UNBC in 2019
- Currently self learning various web development topics
